For Venus and Cosmo it was clearly love at first sight...so two male and 3 female puppies - all bi - were born a few weeks later. We knew we wanted to keep one of the females from this litter, but we still had to make a decision which. Two weeks after the puppies were born we made our choice and picked the small red NBT girl.
She has a naturally bobbed tail which usually isn't my preferrence - but these eyes ! No other name could be as fitting for her as "Invita", which is latin - in vita - for "in life"/"full of life", which she is ! She's full of energy and mischief - but when she knows it's time for work, she gets this look on her face...she concentrates very hard and is eager to obey. I have never met another Aussie learning as fast and with as much precision as her.
Another thing typical for Invita is her Big Smile. She's friendly and cheery towards everyone, but when she really likes someone, she truely starts smiling - which is awsome for my clients (I am a Social Worker working with adults with mental illness, addiction or developmental and other disabilities). It makes them happy when they realize Invita recognizes and likes them. She's often in my office with me and her presence is calming and comforting for many of the people I work with.
When she's happy she's not only wagging her tail but she does a "full body wag". She's our Little Red Rocket, and Joachim's Chocolate Muffin.
Together with Vega, she's the future of Charlot's Farm.
You can't deny her roots: She descends from the awsome Mistretta bloodline.
She has recieved a title in Obedience (CD) and Rally Obedience (Advanced) and I'm very proud of her. We hope that many more titles will follow in the future. She's a working dog with amazing talents.
In memory of her wonderful father we have chosen Cosma as the first part of her name.
